The beach in Porquerolles
The bay of Marseille mark the border between the western and the eastern parts of the French Mediterranean sea. In the west, beyond the cape Couronne, starts the littoral of Languedoc-Rousillon whose long beaches follow one another, monotonous, to the Pyrenees. In the east, an extraordinarily varied coast grows hollow in creeks and makes alternate rock beaches and points to Italy: what is called the Riviera. The dream is not far...

On an about sixty miles, from Marseilles to Port-Cros, it is quite rare to meet such a concentration of beautiful and wild moorings. From Marseille to Cassis, which is approximately fifteen nautical, the different creeks are there to accommodate you in their wild beauty.

The Riou archipelago in the south of the cap Croisette is made of the following islands: Maire, Jarre, Calseraigne and Riou along with some close small islands. You will be able to admire many marine birds there. The underwater life is made of an extraordinary beauty: gorgones, sponges, corals, wrecks...
This fragile natural environment is protected and the unloading is authorized only in the creek NW of Jar and Jarron, the creek of Pouars on Calsereigne and in the creeks of Fontagne and Monasterio on Riou.

The Cassis creeks have something mythical... The creek of Sormiou is more in the west of the two large creeks of Marseilles. The creek of Morgiou is equipped with a small port, 2,50 m deep of water. The creek of Sugiton has a mooring in a fault of a few tens of meters. The creek of En-Vau located at 1,5 miles west of Cassis. The creek of Port-Pin is beautiful with its small beach surrounded by pines. The creek of Port-Miou is partially arranged in marina.

From Cassis to Bandol you will find there the creek of Figuerolles which is the last creek while coming from the east. The green Island with the creek of Saint-Pierre is less than one half-mile from la Ciotat. The creek of Port Alon and also the creek of Galère.

From Bandol to Toulon where navigation requires more attention because all the points have badly paved accesses, attention in the island of Large Rouveau. The port of Sanary has an extraordinary charm, in the east after having passed the Cape Sicié, the creek of Fabrégas excels shelter by mistal. Saint-Mandrier is a superb stopover in the bay of Toulon.

From Toulon to Fort de Brégançon The port of Niel on the peninsula of Giens where a mooring is possible except summer season. The bay of Badine in the north of the point of the same name where you will find two fine sand beaches. The Islands of Hyères (or Gold Islands) are called Porquerolles, Bagaud, Port-Cros and Le Levant. The bay of the Lobster boat on the island of Porquerolles, the creek of the Bon Renaud, beach Argent, beach of Maubousquet, the port of Porquerolles, the bay of Courtade, the bay of Alycastre with the beach of Notre-Dame. Then it's the island of Port-Cros true sanctuary of nature with the small port of Port-Cros and the creek of Port-Man, the island and its surroundings are a national park protected since 1963, you should get information about the regulation in force. On the coast between Hyères and the Fort of Brégançon extend from very beautiful beaches and splits in particular the handle from Estagnol.
